Haiti YWAM and UCNH Trip

The two days at YWAM Haiti headquarters were just what it took to make all of the repairs to the 100KW generator. Along with Norm and Darvin changing out the three head gaskets, Gary and Tom worked to find the reason why the EMP (Oil Mate) unit, installed a year ago, has never worked. This is something I-TEC will install in all of our generators we send out and enables the mission to operate the generator for 5000 hours before changing the oil. We found the problem being a $5.00 relay ( $40.00 in Haiti). All is well.

Replacing Head Gasket Team at YWAM Haiti

We literally wiped off the tools, loaded them into our luggage and loaded in and on the pickup truck to head to Cap Haitian for the next challenge.

University Christian North Haiti

Out of all of the projects we have done worldwide, what we found at the UCNH campus (University Christian of North Haiti) was perhaps the worst electrical infrastructure we have seen yet.

Existing Wiring

As we met with several board members and the President Elect, we were very encouraged to hear the vision and passion for expanding the seminary/university.  We shared the potential of moving towards a solar powered campus and away from their dependence on costly diesel generators as their ONLY source of electricity.

You will be hearing much more in the future as we try to come along side of this great organization to enable them to grow and increase their ability to train the youth of Haiti in Christian principles.
